Terms of Service

Terms of Service Last updated: October 27, 2026 Welcome to Hizli Carpooling (hizli-carpooling.com). These Terms apply to everyone who uses the site and its services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. Important: Hizli Carpooling is not a transportation provider. We are a platform that connects drivers and passengers who want to share a ride. We do not organize, operate or manage rides, and we are not responsible for what members do during a trip. 1. Changes to these Terms We may update these Terms by posting the new version on the site and, for significant changes, by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the new Terms. 2. Our service Hizli connects drivers and passengers for long-distance trips in the United States. There are two levels of access: Free account: search rides, book, and publish rides once your profile is complete and your profile photo is approved. Rides from free accounts are not safety-verified by Hizli. Verified membership (Student $25/year or Standard $35/year): your documents are manually reviewed by our team. Verified members get a verified badge, can leave and see reviews, and verified women can use “Girls Only” rides. Ride payments are made directly between drivers and passengers. Hizli does not process them. 3. Your account You must be 18 or older. One account per person. You may not create or use more than one Hizli account. If we find that you have more than one account, we will email you. You then have 72 hours to close one of them yourself. After 72 hours, we close the most recent account automatically. Give accurate and complete information, and keep it up to date. Your account is personal: don’t share it or transfer it. Keep your password safe and tell us right away if someone uses your account without permission. 4. Becoming a verified member Choose a plan (Student or Standard). Upload your documents: ID (front and back) and proof of address, plus a valid student ID for the Student plan. Files must be JPG, JPEG or PNG. Our team reviews them manually. Once approved, you pay your annual membership through Stripe. Your account is then verified. Your membership renews automatically each year. Stripe may send you a reminder before renewal. If a payment fails or you don’t renew, your account goes back to a free account. 5. Driving on Hizli Free members can publish rides with a complete profile and an approved profile photo. Verified drivers must also add their car details (make, model, year and color) and have their driver’s license (front and back), insurance and vehicle registration approved by our team before publishing. Drivers must hold a valid driver’s license and valid insurance for the vehicle they use. The price per seat must reflect the real cost of the trip (fuel, tolls, etc.). Hizli is not for commercial transportation or profit. 6. Reviews About 10 hours after a trip, you will be asked to review it. You must leave your pending review before booking or publishing a new ride. Reviews are checked by our team before they appear on profiles. 7. Rules of the community You may not: use the Service for anything illegal; post fraudulent, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene or harmful content; harass, threaten or endanger other members; upload viruses or malicious code, or try to access accounts, networks or servers without permission; charge more than the real cost of a trip; use the platform for commercial transportation; give false information or fake documents. 8. Reports and sanctions Every report is reviewed individually by our team. Nothing happens automatically. We may contact the people involved and look at the member’s history before deciding. The reporter’s identity stays confidential. You are always warned first. We don’t ban anyone suddenly. Sanctions go step by step, and you are told by email before any permanent decision. The outcome fits the situation: a warning for a first or minor issue, so you can correct the behavior; a temporary suspension for repeated or more serious issues. During a suspension you can still log in and see your account, but you cannot publish rides, book rides or take other actions on the platform; a permanent ban when the behavior continues after warnings and suspension, or in the case of a severe violation. Your account is closed and you can no longer use Hizli. You can be heard. If you think a decision was a mistake, write to service@hizli-carpooling.com. A real person on our team reviews every request. In an emergency or in case of violence or criminal behavior, contact the local authorities first, then tell us. 9. Payments and fees Rides: paid directly between members at the time of the trip (cash, Venmo, Zelle or any method you agree on). Hizli is not responsible for payment disputes between members. Memberships: Student $25/year and Standard $35/year, processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe’s terms. The price is shown before you confirm. Membership questions or disputes: write to service@hizli-carpooling.com. 10. Cancelling and refunds Rides: there is no online payment for rides, so nothing to refund. Please cancel as early as possible and tell the other member. Membership: you can cancel at any time by closing your account from your profile. Our team is notified and contacts you. Refund: if you cancel during your membership year, we refund the unused part of your membership, from your cancellation date to the end of the paid year, minus the payment processing fee charged by our payment provider (Stripe), which is not returned when a payment is refunded. We contact you to agree on how you want to be refunded. Duplicate accounts: if we close a duplicate account (see section 3) that has a paid membership, the same refund rule applies. No renewal: if you don’t renew, your account goes back to a free account. You keep your profile and can become a verified member again at any time. Inactive accounts: if an account has been inactive for one year, we email the member. If we don’t hear back, we close the account. Force majeure: we are not liable for cancellations caused by events beyond our control (severe weather, road closures, etc.). 11. Safety Verified members have had their documents reviewed by our team. Free accounts have not. Read profiles and reviews and use your own judgment before sharing a ride. Confirm pickup and drop-off details in advance, wear your seat belt and follow traffic rules. Verified members can report unsafe behavior from their dashboard. 12. Liability Hizli connects members. Each member is responsible for their own behavior, their trip and the payment agreed with the others. To the extent allowed by law, Hizli is not liable for accidents, incidents, disputes or payment issues that occur during or after rides. You agree to compensate Hizli for losses caused by your use of the Service or by breaking these Terms, to the extent allowed by law. 13. Third-party links The site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices. 14. Privacy How we collect and use your data is explained in our Privacy Policy. 15. Governing law These Terms are governed by U.S. law, since our members are located in the United States. Disputes must be brought in U.S. federal or local courts. Hizli’s legal entity is being established in Estonia, and these Terms will be updated once that is complete. 16. Contact and complaints service@hizli-carpooling.com. We commit to handle every request fairly and usually reply within 24 hours on business days.
